At a proposed cost of about $100 million per mile (3.2 miles total), Anaheim's streetcar is set to be one of the most expensive streetcar projects in the US. A project, I might add, who's sole purpose is to shuttle Disney guests from ARTIC to the main gate.
For example, the city of Cincinnati is gathering bids for a 3.6 mile streetcar project with bids ranging from $71 to $87 million total. That's roughly only $24 million per mile at the high end. So why is Anaheim's streetcar so expensive councilwoman Kris Murray?
